Postpartum exercise has been shown to be extremely beneficial for a new
mother, allowing her to achieve not only greater health and fitness, but also
higher self-esteem, more energy and reduced stress levels associated with caring for a child. Research also shows that exercise and support from others may decrease a woman’s risk for mild cases of postpartum depression.
This stroller fitness class was designed with moms in mind, however, dads and nannies are welcome too! This group workout is a great opportunity to get out with your baby or toddler, socialize with others, relieve stress and get fit! The workout is held outdoors (weather permitting) and includes a combination of power walking, light jogging,
body weight and resistance exercises and stretching.
Class Update:
Starting in January, join us at the Phillipsburg Mall for an indoor stroller
class! Tuesdays and Fridays 8:45-9:45am, the cost is $5 per class
plus a one-time fee of $7 for a resistance band. All you need is your
baby in a stroller, a water bottle and a towel or mat.
Please let me know ahead of time if you wish to join the class, you
may join at any time. Once the weather warms up, we will resume our
outdoor classes at the Columbia Trail in High Bridge.
