          The more knowledgeable you are prior to the  birth, the

          better the overall experience will be.  As a childbirth educator,

          my goal is to educate and prepare women/couples so they can feel empowered and have the best possible experience.  Classes are taught in a private or small group setting, covering the following topics:

- Stages and phases of labor

- The role of the partner

- The role of a doula

- Relaxation techniques

- Positions and movement during labor

- Interventions used in labor

- Creating your birth plan

- Breastfeeding 101

- Caring for your newborn

Additional topics can be covered, such as

- Babywearing, benefits and 'how-to'

- Cloth diapering

- Elimination Communication, aka Infant
